Summer Tour- Ireland Part 2

Image
Saturday, I woke up and peeked outside.  It was a glorious day out- blue sky, sun shining, warm temps. A perfect day to see some of the Irish countryside. Children of Lir by Oisin Kelly in the Garden of Remembrance Garden of Remembrance, Dublin The Irish flag in a brilliant sky Garden of Remembrance, Dublin My friend, Jessica, came in from Galway and we met by the Ha'penny Bridge on the Liffey. It's always great to be able to meet up with her- we have the best conversations and laughs! After a wander around through the Garden of Remembrance, coffee and a catch-up, we hopped a bus out to Enniskerry and Powerscourt Gardens. The countryside was just gorgeous- so green with lots of flowers, everything fresh from the rain the day before. The bus ride was quite enjoyable, passing through little villages on the way. We were dropped off in the village of Enniskerry and started out on a walk to the Gardens. We followed the signs....which led us in a big circle! A...

So, I finally replaced my Ipad camera adapter (more on that later) and can upload pics which means I can finally post about my summer holidays. And birthday celebrations. And Budapest. Basically, I can get everyone caught up with my oh so exciting life!! *Hopefully my old, addled mind can remember the details of my holiday* WAY back in July....My first week of summer vacation was spent cleaning, packing and gathering a few things I needed for my trip, then I headed to Praha to spend a few days relaxing with Lyn before heading off. It was great to take it easy before the trip...I wasn't as stressed out as I usually am before a trip. Why, you may ask, was I going to Ireland for just a day? Well, back in March when I went to Galway for spring break, I had to rebook my flight in order to be in Ireland for St. Patrick's Day. That involved buying a round trip ticket from Dublin to Prague. Which meant that I had the Prague/ Dublin leg of the trip left to use. So, why not??!! ...
Wait, what, ANOTHER post??!! Yes, two in one day people. I've added two new features to my blog. Badger Peeps...where you can follow me and let everyone know you're a fan. And e-mail subscriptions, so you'll always get a notification when I post something new. The above video sums it up...I'm feeling under pressure. Lots and lots of pressure! Which is why, my dear readers, I have not posted since June. My summer holidays were filled with much merriment and adventure. And I WILL write about it and post pictures very soon. The start of school has come and gone....and I'm still lesson planning for the year. Grad school started last week... and I'm already behind on reading. I leave in a month to take my MUN students to The Hague for a conference....and I'm lost in a sea of forms and registrations. I've been celebrating a plethora of August/ September birthdays....and I haven't been home for a solid weekend in months. My flat is a mess, my lessons are a mess. In short, I'm a mess!!! But never fear, oh faithful followers, I will prevail! I will rise again! I WILL dust my furniture!! So, please be patient with me for a few more days and I will get some "Best of" photos up from the past few...
